Український Молодіжний Центр шукає 4 мотивованих учасників на проект в Трансільванії «Break the chain!», 24-30.11.2014 (Дева, Румунія) на тему Торгівлі людьми (далі - англ.) 

28 participants from 8 countries (Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia, Sweden, Italy and Turkey) representing countries of origin, transit and destination for human trafficking, will learn and explore together this phenomena and will try to develop instruments and activities that can be later on used at local level in an awareness raising campaign.

Non-formal education methods will be used during the project. Some of them will be: simulations, brainstorming, role playing, working groups, energizers and team building and meetings with speakers from Police Departments. The programme also includes cultural visits and social activities.

Learning outcomes:
The participants will acquire and improve the next competences:

Knowledge:

• the state of art of human trafficking in Europe and beyond;
• information about Erasmus+ programme and the Youthpass;
• get aware of how Human Trafficking (HT) is breaching Human Rights;
• understand several of the international and European legal instruments for fighting human trafficking;
• get an image of the national realities existent in the participating countries;

Skills:

• able to develop and implement an awareness raising and information campaign;
• developing their communication skills with persons from other countries;
• ability to plan, promote and organize events;

Attitudes:

• tolerance for diversity;
• empathy and considerance ;
• acceptance, positive attitude towards victims of human trafficking;
• responsibility towards eradicating human trafficking

Expected impact on the participants: we expect the participants to acquire knowledge and/or improve competences related with human trafficking but also transversal topics like planning, promotion, organization of events, tolerance and multiculturalism etc. We expect the participants to become more empathic with the victims of human trafficking and feel responsible but also empowered for fighting the phenomena.

We want the participants to see the big picture of human trafficking but also to understand specific elements like types of human trafficking, difference between smuggling and trafficking, human trafficking routes, profile of perpetrators, methods for recruiting victims. The participants will also learn how to construct awareness raising and information campaigns. Moreover, during the training course we will work with developing a series of materials to be used for the local level campaigns.

It’s important for participants to be ready to take part in organizing awareness raising and information campaign on the mentioned topic in Ukraine. This campaign will take place between January – June 2015 and participants, coordinating with organization (UYC), are free to decide what kind of activities they will implement as part of the campaign.

Second part of the project, the seminar, will take place in Gothenburg, Sweden in June 2015. One participant of those who will visit TC in Deva, Romania will be chosen to go to Sweden as well. Please mention, that for this you should actively participate in organizing the local level awareness raising campaign.

Financial conditions:
Max reimbursement of travel costs – 180 Euros. The project covers 100 % of accommodation and food of participants for all duration of the activity.
