Purpose of the role:
As a Community Manager you will be focused on the TechSoup’s Community of Practice (CoP) development and its strategy implementation in Europe and beyond. The role is crucial for ensuring that the value of the TechSoup CoP focused activities is of the highest quality, impact and relevance when considering the delivery of capacity building for CSO’s across Europe and beyond.
Your duties and responsibilities:
Community of Practice Development and Strategy Implementation
• Contribution to CoP strategy development in close collaboration with Research and Community Engagement Senior Manager, the Program Team, and various stakeholders, and responsibility for its implementation on the ground.
• Supporting the Research and Community Engagement Senior Manager, MEL Manager as well as the team in defining and adhering to the CoP strategy as well as organizational strategy, and measuring social impact, planning, and conducting evaluations, and defining strategy.
• Supporting Research and Community Engagement Senior Manager in needs assessment and other research endeavors to fuel the strategy and CoP development.
• Ensuring that the value of the TechSoup Community of Practice strategy and related activities is of the highest quality, impact and relevance when considering the delivery of capacity building for CSO’s across Europe and beyond.
• Participating in developing and expanding the CoP related work to the strategic use of new technologies and data by the civil society organizations.
• Contributing to developing innovative approaches to community engagement across Europe and all TechSoup Europe Partners Network.
• Facilitating collaboration of CoP, by designing, organizing and facilitating workshops, events, meet-ups and conferences with the TechSoup team and in cooperation with project partners.
• Ongoing research and selection new CoP members, experts, trainers, educators.
• Creating online content, reports, and analysis.
• Coordinating with in-country individuals and organizations to develop and assist in implementing CoP activities in their local environments.
• Responsibility for constant monitoring and evaluation of CoP strategy implementation in close collaboration with Research and Community Engagement Senior Manager and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager.
• Supporting Research and Community Engagement Senior Manager in creating and implementing learning agenda for the Team.
• Contribution to Program and Projects development in relation to CoP aspect.
Project management
• Ensuring excellent program delivery through project management experience.
• External Stakeholder management ranging from partner sourcing, partner escalations and ongoing partner management.
• Coordinating the entire project lifecycle, including development of scope, gathering of specifications, tracking, reporting, and implementation.
• Tracking and managing project resources, milestones, project risks, and deliverables, including internal as well as outsourced work effort.
• Creating and managing project working plans and working budgets.
• Ensuring consistency of process and sponsor satisfaction, with a solid understanding of funders’ formal requirements, and ensuring compliance.
• Regular reporting (internal as well as for external stakeholders, including Donors).
• Providing donor, partners and stakeholders with timely and accurate information regarding the impact, outcomes, outputs developed and the progress towards anticipated Program results.
Education and Experience:
• Higher education degree in social sciences or relevant experience equivalent.
• Proven experience in project/program management, preferably in nonprofit sector. At least 3 years of experience in leading complex projects and developing solutions from inception to deployment, especially in international environment and diverse partnerships.
• Experience in management and coordination diverse portfolio of partners and stakeholders.
• Experience in monitoring the implementation of the project budget and presentation of project results.
• Experience in managing/developing international nonprofit or cross-sectoral networks.
• Experience in managing or being a part of projects related to countering disinformation, media literacy, effective communications and civic technology projects (non-obligatory but a plus).
• Understanding of civil society organizations in Europe (other geographies is a plus).
• Understanding of CSOs’ technology needs and the challenges in implementing technology solutions.
• Understanding of political developments across Europe.

• Fluency in English. Any other language from Central and Eastern Europe would be an advantage.
• Experience/sound understanding of managing social media is a plus.
Other Requirements:
• Flexibility to travel in Europe and internationally as required.
• Based in Warsaw, or remote in Europe (with frequent travelling to Warsaw, and in Europe).
