CSOs Capacity Building Program Manager 

Location: Remote/Warsaw, Poland

Purpose of the role: 

CSOs Capacity Building Program Manager is responsible for developing the comprehensive and flexible CSOs capacity building program methodology, based on in-depth CSOs needs and problems analysis, in collaboration with the Program Team, Partners, and chosen experts. The person oversees implementation of all elements of CSOs capacity building program, including recruitment, needs analysis, capacity development plans, CSOs cohorts' meetings, trainings, tutoring, mentoring, consultancy, grants, and provides all necessary guidelines, requirements and trainings to the Program Team and implementing Partners. Serves as program account for CSOs from cohorts in Poland and CSOs joint initiatives. Ensures quality check of CSOs Capacity Development Plans. Selects trainers, mentors, tutors, experts. Assures the standard and quality of CSOs capacity building program across all countries.  

Your duties and responsibilities:  

• CSOs capacity building needs and problem analysis, especially in areas related to digital transformation, information and media literacy, social campaigning, social and digital inclusion and other.   

• Developing comprehensive and flexible CSOs capacity building program methodology, in close collaboration with Program Team, Partners and experts. 

• Overseeing implementation of all elements of CSOs capacity building program in several countries in Central and Eastern Europe, including needs analysis, capacity development plans, recruitment, CSOs cohorts’ meetings, trainings, tutoring, mentoring, consultancy, grants, etc.  

• Providing all necessary guidelines, requirements and trainings to the Program Team and implementing Partners in order to achieve assumed results of the Program. 

• Assuring the standards, quality and consistency of CSOs capacity building program across all countries engaged in the program.  

• Serving as program account manager in Poland for CSOs from cohorts and CSOs joint initiatives, ensuring quality of the process and assumed results of the Program.  

• Ensuring quality check of CSOs Capacity Development Plans design and implementation.  

• Assuring high level of educational experience to program beneficiaries in line with their identified needs. 

• Contributing to development of training curricula for CSOs capacity building program methodology in close collaboration with Senior Training & Education Manager. 

• Contributing to development of a network of local trainers and capacity building experts across CEE. Selecting trainers, mentors, tutors, experts and overseeing their work. 

• Designing educational events (on-site and online trainings, training of trainers) alone or in a partnership with other team members, partners and external experts. 

• Overseeing delivery of educational events (on-site and online trainings, training of trainers) alone or in partnership with other team members and partners (supervising program and methodology, overseeing organization and logistics, recruitment of participants, collaboration with experts). 

• Contributing to developing and improving educational content supporting TechSoup’s education strategy and outreach plan in close collaboration with Senior Training & Education Manager. 

• Ensuring excellent program delivery through grant project management experience. 

• Creating and managing project working plans, working budgets, and business plans. 

• Managing the entire project lifecycle through set up, planning, implementation, and closure phase.  

• Developing detailed project implementation plan.  

• Milestones and deliverables tracking, collecting and organizing all projects outputs, with the provision of quantitative and qualitative control, as well as internal and external compliance (including donors' requirements).   

• Managing risk and issues occurring in the project.  

• Following all the necessary processes and procedures of proper project implementation (e.g., procurement, communication, security) 

• Establishing and executing actionable usage metrics, evaluation plans and key performance indicators for the capacity building program, in relevance to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning processes of the program and to the TechSoup's policies and strategies, in collaboration with MEL Manager. 

• Setting and implementing CSOs capacity building management procedures, including monitoring and evaluation. 

• Contributing to implementation of Learning Agenda for the Program team, Partners and relevant Program stakeholders, standards, methods and tools facilitating knowledge sharing internally and externally, as well as innovative approaches and the use of digital resources to maximize learning and organizational growth. 

Education and Experience: 

• Graduate degree in relevant field, such as Social Sciences, or a combination of education and experience that yields the required competencies.  

• Minimum 5 years of experience in adult educational, training and capacity building programs in CSO sector with a proven delivery record, preferably in international environment. 

• Experience in managing international programs and projects related to digital education, civic engagement area, dedicated to activists and CSOs target audience. Knowledge and direct experience with adult education and capacity building programs, preferably for CSO sector. 

• Experience in training design and delivery for CSO sector. Experience in technology related trainings delivery as a plus. 

• Experience in collaboration in various networks, cohorts of trainers, educators, experts; trainer experience, trainings programs and methodology development, trainings delivery. 

• Hands-on experience in coordinating the educational content production processes with multiple stakeholders: authors, partners, graphic designers, vendors and setting up a workflow that ensures its proper execution. 

• Fluency in Polish and English, both oral and written communications; other language a plus.

• Fluency in English and Polish. Any other language from Central and Eastern Europe would be an advantage. 

Other Requirements: 

• Flexibility to travel in Europe and internationally as required. 

• Based in Warsaw, or remote in Europe.
