The Financial Sector Reform Activity (FSR) in Ukraine is a five-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by DAI Global LLC (DAI). The purpose of the activity is to transform the country’s financial sector into a sophisticated, well-functioning, competitive market that is aligned with European Union (EU) standards and integrated into international financial systems. This transformation will mobilize private finance for sustained economic growth in Ukraine.
The FSR is looking for candidates to fill in the GRAPHICS DESIGNER position.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Graphics Designer will be responsible for development and creation of different types of digital and printed graphic materials for the FSR’s and its partnering organizations’ needs. He/she will be responsible for the visual appearance of the project and its activities as well as adjustment/development/implementation of new visual styles within the project if needed.
OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:
• Create visual concepts to communicate FSR’s narratives and messages.
• Create illustrations and other graphics for social media. Works with Digital Communications Manager to ensure effective visual storytelling across all digital platforms.
• Based on data provided by experts, creates infographics and other kinds of data visualizations.
• Designs and creates layouts for online and print publications.
• Creates ads, posters, banners and other visual materials.
• Designs PowerPoint presentations and other materials, as required.
• Supports the creation and formatting of all publications, presentations, documents submitted to USAID.
• Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 5 years of professional experience in graphics design.
• Experience with USAID and/or other development projects similar in scope and complexity to Ukraine FSR strongly preferred.
• Proficient in developing computer graphics and the use of shapes, colors, typography, images and more to convey ideas to an audience.
• Solid knowledge of design and visual principles: color theory, design theory, illustration, photography, typography, printing techniques. Animation and motion a strong plus.
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.).
• Proficiency with full Microsoft Office suite, primarily, PowerPoint.
• Ability to self-direct and work independently, while maintaining productive team relationships with colleagues inside and outside the project team.
• Able to understand and interpret data.
• Seeks and integrates feedback. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage uncertainty and thrive on change.
• Unwavering commitment to ethical values and principles of communication.
• Fluency in Ukrainian, proficient English.
