The Financial Sector Reform Activity (FSR) in Ukraine is a five-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by DAI Global LLC (DAI). The purpose of the activity is to transform the country’s financial sector into a sophisticated, well-functioning, competitive market that is aligned with European Union (EU) standards and integrated into international financial systems. This transformation will mobilize private finance for sustained economic growth in Ukraine.
The FSR is looking for candidates to fill in the DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER position.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for development and implementation of Digital Communication Strategy for the FSR; management of the FSR’s social media; launching organic and paid digital campaigns within the FSR project as well as overseeing digital campaigns launched by the partner organizations or subcontractors of the FSR. Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for all digital activities of the project.
OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:
• Based on the Communication Strategy, develop, implement, maintain and monitor a Digital Communication Strategy, including PESO (paid, earned, shared and owned media) that serves FSR’s strategic needs and reaches key stakeholder groups.
• Creates and maintains a content/editorial calendar to ensure all key messages, topics and subjects are covered by the digital platforms in a timely and effective manner.
• Manages FSR’s social media accounts and communities, based on data available through various analytics tools.
• Creates and repackages content for social media, in cooperation with FSR experts and other communication team members.
• Initiates, creates and manages digital campaigns targeting specific audiences. Performs A/B testing of messages/campaigns.
• Tracks reach, engagement and other relevant metrics, generates weekly and monthly reports.
• Is responsible for providing relevant technical platforms for current communication needs, such as webinars, streaming, etc.
• Supports video content for digital platforms, working with subcontractors and other team members.
• Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in IT, marketing, economics, finance, journalism, social media platforms, public relations, communications or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in digital communications for private sector or donor-funded initiatives required.
• Experience with USAID and/or other development projects similar in scope and complexity to Ukraine FSR strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of social media platforms and their use in Ukraine.
• Track record of digital communications, including social media management and paid media; a profound portfolio of digital projects.
• Experience with Canva or other graphics editing tools as well as experience with photography is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of digital communications and analytics platforms. Ability to collect and interpret performance data and generate actionable recommendations.
• Ability to engage constructively on social media, manage negative comments and mitigate risks.
• Knowledge of key concepts of strategic communication.
• Ability to build and develop productive relationships.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage uncertainty and thrive on change.
• Unwavering commitment to ethical values and principles of communication.
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian, strong writing skills.
