About PAH:
Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is an international non-governmental organization which since 1992 has been providing humanitarian and development help worldwide. So far, the interventions have been carried out in 46 different countries. By possessing long-standing expertise in the implementation of projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Food Security and Livelihoods, as well as Nutrition and Education, PAH concentrates its global activities on ensuring sustainable and stable development of regions suffering from the consequences of armed conflicts, natural disasters and other humanitarian crises.
PAH has been present in Ukraine since August 2014 delivering humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable of the conflict-affected population. PAH provides assistance to internally displaced people, elderly and single mothers, working in the sectors of food security protection and livelihoods. PAH Ukraine is currently expanding programming from humanitarian to both early recovery and development-oriented interventions that provide sustainable livelihoods opportunities to the affected population.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
PAH representation and coordination in WASH-related activities:
Actively participates in the WASH cluster, reports all PAH WASH-related activity and potential capacity for Future interventions to the WASH Cluster.
Assists the Head of Programmes in representation of PAH on WASH-related matters in front of social/medical institutions administration, relevant local authorities and other stakeholders.
Contributes to creation of PAH Mission standard operating procedures and guidelines in WASH, ensuring strict adherence to all WASH cluster advice and PAH regulations.
Coordinates with other NNGOs and INGOs to ensure no duplication and information – Sharing in all WASH – related activities.
Regularly briefs the Head of Programmes and other Mission staff on the most recent relevant WASH needs in Ukraine.
Represent PAH at relevant WASH sector training and Workshops.
WASH Programme monitoring and reporting:
Pays regular Field visits to projects Areas with WASH activities to observe progress, Compliance of design, work specification and quality of the work.
Keeps track of Progress of Project WASH, engineering and infrastructure interventions.
Supervises implementation of WASH services, including oversight of contractors involved in WASH activities.
Supports procurement of relevant materials - including content, specifications and quantities. Confirmation that all equipment is delivered to the project site, and conducting quality inspections;
Revises WASH technical plans as necessary, taking into account practical aspects of implementation, long – term sustainable solutions, and relevant technical specifications and guidelines.
WASH Programme design:
Takes part in situational analysis of WASH-related areas, field survey data collection.
Assesses WASH needs in targeted institutions and project sites for future programming.
Contributes to the budgeting, Planning, Programmatic processes and financial management of all activities in the area of WASH.
Works in partnership with service providers, local partners and Local authorities to design water and sanitation service improvements.
Contributes to concept note and proposal writing on all WASH – related activities.
