Position title: social worker

Background

The charitable organization “Charity Foundation” Rokada “ is implementing partner of the UN Refugee Agency and carrying out social assistance projects for refugees, internal displacement persons (IDPs), and affected populations in Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

Work in the fields (work in the places of registration and accommodation of refugees and IDPs, their registration);

    Case management: consultations of refugees and IDPs on social rights; social assistance, an inspection of living conditions on individual bases, advice on housing, accompaniment to different institutions, and communication with the different institutions in the best interests of clients;

    Preparation of lists of refugees and IDPs with special needs in order to provide them with basic necessities;

    Issuance of humanitarian aid and the formation of lists of services provided;

    Collection of information on the assistance provided for refugees and IDPs in the region and subsequent informing of refugees and IDPs about available assistance resources for refugees;

    Cooperation \ coordination with partner organizations;

    Systematic maintenance of an electronic database of clients and services rendered;

    Submission of monthly and quarterly written reports;

    Assistance in preparing different events for the IDPs communities (education training, group counseling, etc.).

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

· Higher education in the field of social work, social sients  (Bachelor/Master);

· Awareness of the basics of psychology;

Experience:

 - Minimum 2 years of working experience in implementing social programs;

- The skills and expertise which are necessary for working with socially vulnerable groups of the population, including psychosocial rehabilitation skills are required

-  Is welcomed experience in volunteer activities in the social sphere (with children, with people who are in difficult life circumstances);

 - Experience in writing business texts in English;

 - Good knowledge of social policy;

 - Fluent in Windows, Internet, MS Office.

Languages:

Excellent English, Ukrainian, and Russian (verbal and written).

Personal qualities:

    Stress resistance;

    High level of empathy;

    High level of responsibility;

    To be ready for irregular working days;

    Ability to react quickly in stressful situations;

    Steady observance of the ethical rules of social work with refugees and IDPs;

    Ability to work with a large array of documents.
