As our Communications Officer, you will help strengthening the brand and outreach of the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House. Identifying the interesting stories and maintaining an inclusive and approachable style, strengthen the relation with young people in Ukraine as well as our stakeholders. You will share the responsibility of the communication of the Youth House with your communications colleague and collaborate with our Danish colleagues in the Danish Cultural Institute and Danish Youth Council. You will be part of the secretariat in Kyiv alongside dedicated colleagues, and make sure that the voice and the stories of young people are seen by the world.

The Ukrainian-Danish Youth House is a platform supporting youth participation, democracy, and creativity. With our new premises soon opening in Kyiv, we offer a creative, democratic space for young people, where we engage, facilitate and support youth projects and activism across Ukraine and Denmark. Tasks:

• Maintain and develop the Youth House’s social media presence;
• Strengthen the image and brand of the Youth House as an inclusive, empowering platform.
• Engage, involve and strengthen the community;
• Maintain and develop the Youth House website;
• Ensure effective public relations and media visibility;
• Design visuals;
• Update and implement public outreach and communications strategies;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (communications, journalism, political science or similar);
• Minimum 2 years of experience from similar positions;
• Strong command of written and spoken Ukrainian and English;
• Experience with social media and PR for organizations or companies;
• Excellent writing skills;
• Experience with visual/graphic design;
• Computer and digital literacy;
• Thorough and attentive to detail;
• Strong intercultural and communications skills.
