Graphic/Infographic Designer (roster)

EnCompass LLC is looking for experienced graphic/infographic designers for the roster of service providers/consultants under the Monitoring and Learning Support Contract (MLSC) to support the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Ukraine. As part of the contract, EnCompass is providing support to the development outreach and communications component of USAID/Ukraine operations.

Graphic/Infographic Designers will provide a wide range of high-quality and innovative project communications and graphic design services for the MLS team based on specific requests. The graphic designers will coordinate with members of the communications team in Ukraine to plan and manage design and infographic tasks upon UMLS request. Qualified applicants will be reviewed based on outlined skill sets.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the project teams to design and develop graphics, visualizations, templates, presentations, and other creative visual products for client projects, ensuring that information is communicated clearly, accurately, and in a visually appealing manner
• Develop graphic design for social media campaigns and deliver graphic designs adaptable for social media platforms use including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
• Capture key project information to develop visual communications stories and infographics
• Work with the project team to develop presentations, factsheets, project and communications briefs that are creative and visually appealing
• Develop graphic designs and visual aids compliant with USAID Branding and Marking regulations
• Plan and execute all assigned tasks within budget and established deadlines
• Other duties as assigned related to graphic design and creative communications products

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required (Arts, Graphic design, Communications or other relevant fields), specialized training in graphic design is acceptable.

General Experience and Skills

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in graphic/web design, advertising, communications, or a related field
• Ability to produce creative, high-quality work with a tight timeframe
• Proven ability to understand the communication needs of an organization and identify creative solutions
• Demonstrated solid conceptual, visualization, and communication skills during all phases of creative development
• Experience working with organizations with an international focus, or engagement in not-for-profit advertising campaigns is preferred

• Proven experience with designing graphics/infographics in Ukrainian and English for high-level, professional audiences (USAID/USG preferred)

• Ability to confidently engage with staff at all levels to define needs and expectations, collaborate on projects, and communicate results
• Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback, and receive feedback from team members
• Experience working with editorial and graphic design staff to support publications and product development, including task scheduling/traffic management
• Understanding of compliance with the copyright law highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience in working on multiple priorities consecutively and sequentially and meeting quality standards for accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Ukrainian

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs, particularly Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
• Advanced skills in working with templates using Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and PowerPoint; working with charts in Microsoft Excel
• Expertise and experience using Tableau
• Familiarity with USAID communications templates, and branding and marking guidelines
• Good motion graphic/animation skills are desirable
• Proficiency with online technology and web-based tools
• Solid understanding of content management and information technology

• Reliable, secure, high-speed internet connection. Providing services remotely via internet connection is acceptable.

• The consultant will use their own equipment and ensure they have necessary software licenses and subscriptions to provide the required services.
