NRC Ukraine is looking for Durable Solutions Coordinator in our office in Kyiv.
The Durable Solutions Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the IDP Profiling exercise(s), strengthening coordination in the area of durable solutions and contributing to NRC Ukraine’s advocacy & programmatic response on durable solutions.
Job Description
Generic responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, donor requirements
- Prepare and submit reports and analysis
- Ensure proper filing of documentation
- Contribute to specific protection risks and needs analyses
- Contribute to the design of programmatic, protection and advocacy response on durable solutions
- Contribute to effective coordination in the area of durable solutions at different levels
- Maintain the close collaboration and communication with NRC programmes
Specific responsibilities:
- Contribute to design and implementation of NRC Ukraine’s advocacy & programmatic response on durable solutions
- Establish and maintain an effective coordination for the implementation of the IDP Profiling exercise(s), including liaising with local and regional authorities (social protection, legal departments, ATC management, etc.), facilitating meetings with authorities, Profiling Working Group meetings and share minutes with all profiling partners in a timely manner
- Manage budgets and project activities (i.e. for the implementation IDP Profiling exercise(s) and other durable solutions’ actions)
- Map relevant stakeholders and partners and ensure their sustained buy-in throughout IDP Profiling exercise(s)
- Support Advocacy Manager in developing and maintaining an effective coordination in the area of durable solutions, in particular within IDP Profiling exercise(s), e.g. Joint IDP Profiling Services, IDMC, UN, humanitarian and development actors, authorities, etc.
- Ensure the effective management of the IDP Profiling exercise(s) by keeping the profiling objectives in mind, including developing and maintaining a work plan and budget
- Develop the Terms of Reference(s) for the consultancy(s) to develop the methodology, conduct the data collection and data analysis phase(s) of the IDP Profiling exercise(s)
- Oversee, coordinate, advise and report on the development of the methodology and data collection tools of the IDP Profiling exercise(s), including the facilitation of technical development workshops
- Oversee, coordinate, advise and report on the implementation of the (qualitative and quantitative) data collection phase of the IDP Profiling exercise(s), including, but not limited to recruitment and training of enumerators and other relevant staff (e.g. team leaders, supervisors, administrative assistants), development of training materials and implementation of training, revision of data collection tools and process, as well as data processing & analysis phase (including but not limited to collaborative data analysis workshop(s))
- Facilitate the validation of the findings of the IDP Profiling exercise(s), including but not limited to feedback sessions and meeting with the authorities, local and regional CSAs, other relevant stakeholders
- Lead the drafting of the report(s) on the IDP Profiling exercise(s), including key recommendations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the communication, dissemination and advocacy strategy around the key recommendations defined within the IDP Profiling exercise(s) and the final report(s)
- Trouble shoot problems arising during the IDP Profiling exercise(s) to ensure that the objectives are reached
- Any other duties as required to support the design and implementation of NRC Ukraine’s advocacy & programmatic response on durable solutions (e.g. additional research and analysis), as well as to ensure successful completion of the IDP Profiling exercise(s).

Professional competencies
Generic professional competencies for this position:
- University degree in social or political sciences, anthropology, data science, sociology, law, development studies, humanities, or other similar subject and/or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible work experience
- Prior experience working in displacement context
- Prior experience working with local, regional, national governments and/or national/international organisations
- Prior experience of working with data (data management, data collection & analysis, etc.)
- Prior research and/or advocacy experience would be an asset
- Prior experience of implementing complex qualitative and quantitative research projects
Context related skills, knowledge and experience:
- Practical experience in coordination, managing project(s) and exercise(s) involving collaboration between multiple stakeholders (including facilitating joint activities, creating work plans, budgeting and reporting).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
- Excellent drafting skills (e.g. reports, analytical documents, etc.).
- Practical experience of working with data, including survey design and methodology, data management, data collection, data analysis, applied statistics.
- Strong research, analytical skills and ability to understand and apply complex socio-cultural contexts to data and vice-versa.
- Experience in usage of office software; experience in SPSS or other statistical software is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation skills; experience in advocacy would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of the durable solutions’ concept, knowledge of the international law & standards applicable in the context of displacement and durable solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the context on eastern Ukraine, conflict-related and displacement issues.
- Good understanding of the national, regional and local frameworks on durable solutions (e.g. in the areas of housing, employment, integration, social protection) and policy-making process.
