The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is a non-profit organization working to strengthen democracy worldwide. NDI programs are supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Sweden, Canada, United Kingdom, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and other donors.
NDI-Ukraine is currently seeking a full time staff member for a position of Administrative Assistant for its office based in Kyiv.
Job Title: Administrative Assistant, NDI Ukraine
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Law, Sociology, Public Administration, Linguistics or in other related subjects
Excellent communication skills in Ukrainian and English
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a team and under pressure
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs)
Prior experience working at an international organization is an advantage
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary point of contact for managing the daily, weekly and monthly schedule of NDI’s Resident Director
Provide logistical/administrative support at trainings, research presentations, and other meetings and program events, as required
Assist in day-to-day administration of NDI office in Ukraine (procurement, contracts, coordination and negotiation with partners/vendors)
Provide logistical/administrative support to the NDI staff, and consultants
Translate documents from Ukrainian into English and vice-versa
Keep track of office supplies and order supplies for the office as needed
Coordinate driver’s schedule
Maintain communication with hotels, transportation and internet companies, other service providers
Perform general clerical duties
Other duties as assigned
