Summary:
The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) seeks a service provider to support the program teams in Ukraine with external moderation and facilitation of the activities organized by the Institute and its partners. The provider will work with NDI to plan and implement strategic sessions and other similar events, including interviews with participants and analysis of background information, facilitation and moderation of the events and preparation of the final report.
NDI reserves the right to reject any and all bids. NDI reserves the right to consider bids for modification at any time before a contract is awarded. NDI shall not be liable for any costs associated with the preparation, transmittal, or presentation of any materials submitted in response to the RFP.
Background:
The National Democratic Institute (NDI) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, working to support and strengthen democratic institutions worldwide through citizen participation, openness and accountability in government. Since opening its doors in 1984, NDI and its local partners have worked to support and strengthen democratic institutions and practices, safeguard elections, advance citizen engagement, and promote open and accountable government. NDI opened an office in Kyiv in September 1992. Since then, it has promoted democratic development in Ukraine through political party strengthening, election monitoring, civil society development, strengthening the political participation of women, inclusion and governance programs.
Objective:
The selected service provider will work with NDI Ukraine programs and partners helping with moderation and facilitation of the activities to ensure structured, constructive and fruitful discussion.
The scope of Providers Work:
Pre-event activities. In consultation with NDI, the provider will conduct all the necessary preparation that may include interviews with participants, context and background analysis, development of the detailed agenda.
Facilitation of the event. The provider will provide services of moderation and facilitation of the event.
Post-event activities. The provider will collect all the materials developed during the event and design a final report.

Period of performance: March 15, 2021 - March 14, 2022 (with a possibility of extension)
Requirements to potential bidders:
The provider must have at least 5 years of proven experience in facilitation of events, be well-aware of Ukrainian national and local context, understand and use evidence-based approaches, be fluent in Ukrainian and English. Experience of working with international and/or civil society organizations is highly desired. Experience in working with government and\or political parties is preferred.
The proposal submission must include:
Concept paper, CV/portfolio, and relevant work samples. The concept paper should include the types of the services, estimated rates for online and offline services budget, types of clients and list of references.
