Deputy Programme Manager (Sloviansk)

For the implementation of our relief activities we are looking for a Deputy Programme Manager.

Position: Deputy Programme Manager

Location: Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast

Position to be filled: ASAP (the interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis)

Duration: 12-months with the possibility of extension, including 2 months of a trial period

Tasks and Responsibilities:

-       Providing support to Programme Manager / WASH & Shelter Manager in overall supervision of the implementing activities;

-       Providing support to the Programme team in preparation and timely submission of project-related internal and external documentation (reports, justifications, letters, e-mails, etc.);

-       Taking an active role in the fundraising process in close cooperation with Programme and Finance team, including proposal writing, applying for grants, filling and uploading required information to donors` portals, etc.

-       Representing the organization (a focal point) to ensure smooth liaise with external counterparts, including donors, local authorities, UN agencies, partner organizations, suppliers, etc.;

-       Participating in internal and external meetings (Clusters, GCM, TWG, etc.), preparing minutes of meetings, following up on action points, and collecting updates;

-       Providing translations and/or interpreting when required.

Requirements:

-       Educational background in relevant field;

-       At least two years of professional experience in humanitarian relief context;

-       Good knowledge and practice of Project Cycle Management;

-       Budget management experience is desirable;

-       Fluent command of English, both written and spoken is mandatory;

-       Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PPT;

-       Self-starter with high motivation for achievements;

-       Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to details;

-       Well-developed organizational and planning skills;

-       Ability to multi-task and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines;

-       Good understanding of the humanitarian principles.

-       Proven ability to engage and facilitate dialogue with a wide range of external counterparts.
