EPIDEMIOLOGIST (Zhytomyr)
MAIN PURPOSE
Increase the quality of the analysis, data management and reporting to support the project and the operational research in Zhytomyr to adequately inform the advocacy strategy of the mission.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure implementation of specific databases in support of the programs objectives.
Train the staff and provide support, guidance and supervision for the program staff involved in data collection and management.
Monitor and evaluate medical activities (define indicators, define follow-up tools, collect and analyze data).
MAIN TASKS
§ Support the implementation of the research on short course all-oral regimens for drug resistant tuberculosis treatment, with new tuberculosis drugs in Zhytomyr, through monitoring and evaluation of data.
§ Support the monitoring and analysis of primary and secondary outcomes for the research by conducting quarterly quality audits per protocol, as well as ad hoc; and by producing monthly and quarterly reports based on these data.
§ Support the Operational Research (OR) focal point on implementation of the overall operational research agenda.
§ Train and supervise the data supervisor to monitor and evaluate the quality of data.
§ Support the data supervisor in developing the SOPs of data collection and validation.
§ Coordinate and supervise activities of medical data manager and data encoder/s in the project.
§ Participate in internal and external meetings to present analyzed data.
§ Provide timely feedback to medical team in order to maintain or improve the realization of project targets.
§ Support the Project Medical Referent in drafting reports, abstracts, and presentations based on project data when necessary for communication and advocacy, and/or scientific meetings.
Education:
Master Degree in Epidemiology or Public Health.

• Ukrainian, Russian, English are essential.

Location: 64 Berdychivska St., Huiva, Zhytomyr region.
Type of agreement: Civil law agreement 6 months — Temporary position.
