Корпус Миру США в Україні шукає TEFL Technical & Intercultural Competence Facilitator. 

Peace Corps Ukraine seeks qualified and motivated candidates for the short-term, temporary positions of TEFL Technical Intercultural Competence Facilitators (TEFL TCF) for its Pre-Service Training program. TEFL TCFs are responsible for providing training and support to Americans who will be teaching English in schools and universities around Ukraine. Successful candidates will be required to take part in a mandatory paid training in Kyiv, during which they will be trained on methods and approaches for teaching English as a foreign language and how to help Peace Corps trainees adjust their skills and knowledge to a new cultural and educational setting. After successful completion of the training, candidates will teach a Peace Corps curriculum during a 10-week training in the Zhytomyr region. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not required.

Employment Dates: Employment will take place in two locations:

• August 13-August 20 – Paid training in Kyiv
• August 21-October 29 – Paid teaching assignment in Zhytomyr region.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepares and facilitates technical training sessions for small groups (5-12) of American adults
• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with local community and educational establishment authorities to ensure effective internship activities;
• In collaboration with other staff, prepares and facilitates intercultural sessions and activities;
• Assesses progress in technical skills acquisition and application on a regular basis

Requirements: 

• A university degree in linguistics, in education, or related subject
• Proficiency in spoken and written Ukrainian and English;
• Previous teaching experience is a plus;
• Experience in adult experiential training methodology, preferably in a cross-cultural setting;
• Willingness to work as part of a team;
• Strong intercultural, interpersonal, and communication skills;
• IDPs and/or individuals from conflict-affected areas are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to work a flexible 6-day/week (40 hours/week) schedule, including on Saturdays
