Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. We offer assistance to people based on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. MSF Ukraine is looking for:

MEDICAL ACTIVITY MANAGER

Project: Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) project.

Location: Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast.

Main duties:

• Coordinating, assessing and supervising the proper functioning of the medical activities according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures and through the correct compilation and analysis of medical data regarding patients’ health conditions.
• Supervising and ensuring that medical activities objectives are achieved, reporting to the technical referent any problem arising in the hospital and ambulatory facilities.
• Liaising between MSF (PMR and Patient Support Team) and MoH (hospital and ambulatory facility) in communicating good medical practices, pharmacy issues, laboratory issues, and discharge plans within hospital and ambulatory facilities.
• Ensuring regular contact with local authorities and institutions, other NGOs for a better coordination in the implementation of health projects.
• Together with pharmacist and PMR, ensuring an efficient pharmacy management and monitoring the rational use of them.
• In coordination with the project laboratory manager, supervising the appropriate use of medical devices and anticipating future needs. Preparing the medical orders needed to implement the medical activities, and identifying and reporting to the line manager, non-medical support needs (material, infrastructure, transport, etc.)
• Participating in the monthly reports according to guidelines (i.e. SitReps, medical statistical reports, etc.).
• Participating in the definition of annual planning and budget for the project and in the follow up of the programs / project.
• Covering for PMR in partner meetings/ field visits when necessary.
• Ensuring good links with TB consilium and other TB services.
• Ensuring regular contact with local authorities and institutions, other NGOs in the country and other MSF sections, for a better coordination in the implementation of health projects and programs.
• In coordination with PMR and MedCoSupport, taking responsibility in staff health issues.
• Promoting and strict following-up of MSF values and ethics.

Requirements:

Education:

• Medical doctor.

Experience:

• Essential 2 year working experience as a medical doctor.

• Previous experience with MSF in the field is desirable.

• Clinical experience in HIV, advanced HIV disease and opportunistic infections are essential.

• Experience in adherence support and psychosocial care for people living with HIV is desirable.

• Clinical experience in TB (MDRTB) management is desirable.

Knowledge:

• Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet).

Languages:

• English, Russian and Ukrainian are essential.

Monthly gross salary (before taxation): 42 639 UAH.
