DAI GLOBAL, LLC, implementer of USAID-funded Financial Sector Transformation Project (FST)  is seeking qualified candidates for the following long-term technical position:

                                           Senior Writer/Media Relations Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and disseminating the project’s core messages on the need to transform Ukraine’s financial system. She/he will lead efforts to develop a strategy to increase the impact of project written materials on financial topics. He/she will work collaboratively with project experts to develop key messages, identify target audiences, select appropriate communications channels (social media, on-line publications, articles/stories, etc.), and write/edit articles and materials. He/she will be responsible for preparing “success stories” and publications on project activities. He/she will also work with project partners in improving their written communications functions. 
 Responsibilities:

• Review and improve the project’s outreach strategy (messaging, targets, channels) regarding the production and dissemination of written materials;

• Produce and review copy for project outreach efforts (articles, brochures, leaflets) in consumer finance, financial literacy, leasing, capital and commodity markets, in collaboration with project experts;

• Support the development and/or improvement of communications materials by project partners, especially of the Ukrainian Union of Lessors;

• Prepare and update materials for the Project landing page and Facebook page;

• Prepare and edit press releases, power point presentations, and other public relations materials

• Performs other duties, as required.

 Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline (communications, finance, journalism, literature);

• 10 years professional work experience as a communications specialist in finance;

• Understanding of Ukraine’s financial and banking system;

• Strong writing skills;

• Strong organizational skills;

• Strong English language skills, fluent Ukrainian.

 Reporting:

The Senior Writer/Media Relations Specialist will report to the FST Financial Literacy and Communications Director.
