DRC-DDG is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. From the Slovyansk Sub-Office, DRC-DDG carries out a variety of activities to support conflict affected and internally displaced people in Donetsk oblast and Luhansk oblast including restoration of shelter, livelihoods and business grants, legal assistance, child protection and psycho-social support and humanitarian mine action.
DRC-DDG Protection Program is currently focusing on child protection (covering mine victim assistance and psycho-social support) and community based protection, and is seeking to recruit qualified staff to support Protection activities in this field.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Protection Assistant (Case worker) is part of the DRC-DDG Protection Team in Mariupol and works under the management, guidance and supervision of DRC-DDG Protection Team Leader and Protection Manager. The Protection Assistant supports the national Protection Team Leader and Protection Manager in timely and quality implementation of protection activities in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts. This position is based in Mariupol with frequent travel to field locations.
The Protection Assistant, in coordination and cooperation with the programme staff, is expected to pursue the following objectives in his/her daily work:
Implementation of protection activities
Training and capacity building
Internal/External Coordination and Representation
Reporting & Accountability

Required Qualifications and Skills

Contract length: 5 months with possible extension (3 months is a probation period).
Start date: as soon as possible .
Salary grade: “I3”.
