For our programme “Support to the Decentralisation Reform in Ukraine”, we are looking for an ” IT Specialist ” (full time, 100%) to work in Kyiv 

In the last few years, Ukraine has developed and adopted various laws in favour of an ambitious decentralisation reform, which reshapes the relation between the national, regional and local level. The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Municipal Services (MinRegion) is responsible for the overall implementation of this milestone reform process. Given the important new tasks, responsibilities and financial resources that local self-governments have gained and the establishment of new institutions such as the Local Government Development Center (LGDC), the implementation of the reform has to be accompanied by expert advice, trainings and diverse support measures. 

For managing, coordination and support of It infrastructure and users our programme, we are looking for a highly motivated and professional specialist. 

IT Specialist would be responsible for the following: 

• Configuration and maintaining Servers workstations and laptops

• Managing user accounts

• Managing and maintaining office equipment and inventory

• Managing and maintaining backup systems

• Monitoring virus and security alerts notifications and implementing protection procedures.

• Support videoconferencing and telephone systems

• Support Network equipment

• Support of Internet Services

• Assisting in IT related procurement

• Adhering to computer communication, hardware, software and security standards and policies

• Providing assistance to staff at request

• Troubleshooting and solving of all computer and internet related problems, prepares information needed, and maintains telephonic support

• Managing and maintaining video surveillance system

• Other tasks as assigned 

Requirements to candidates 

• University degree in information technologies

• At least 3 years professional experience in a similar position

• Excellent command of IT hardware systems

• Proficient level in installing and maintaining Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2008-2016

• Proficient level  in developing and implementing LAN, VPN

• Proficient level in establishing and maintaining domains (Ms AD)

• Proficient level in PBX maintaining

• Proficient level in VCS (video conference system) maintaining,  Cisco Webex, Skype for Business

• Proficient level  in basic office equipment

• Proficient level in MS Office software ( 2016 / 365)

• Responsible work, excellent communication skills

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

• Fluent in English, German would be an advantage 

  Assignment: 

  Starting as soon as possible, preferably as of March 2019.
