ГО «Український центр Ненасильницького спілкування та примирення «Простір Гідності» оголошує конкурс на вакансії.

NGO Ukrainian Centre for Nonviolent Communication and Reconciliation “Dignity Space”* looking for a project coorditator, translator, NVCtrainer, co-facilitator to implement the socially oriented project** during 6 month from January to July 2019:

Project Coordinator (English and Ukrainian speaking)

Requirements:

  • Working place: office in Kyiv, central district.
  • Full-time employment
  • Higher educational level
  • Minimum working experience: 3 years in the sphere (including 1 year in NGO)
  • Languages: English (B2-C1), Ukrainian (native), Russian (B2-C1)
  • Experience in procurement, social services, international projects will be beneficial

Duties:

  • Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization.
  • Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
  • Oversee all project activities and be the main contact point for the donor and partners under project.
  • Responsible for submitting activity reports on regular basis to the donor.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly financial reports and sending of new funding requests.
  • Ensures close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements.
  • Employs resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring. Identifies and implements creative solutions.
  • Support the Liaison with the partners regarding their field visits and for regular information updates.
  • Allocate resources and supplies as to ensure staff and participants can complete their responsibilities to their highest potential.
  • Engage the external community as to build and maintain essential relationships
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
  • Review the project schedule with all the project participants that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Communicate with partners as outlined in funding agreements.
  • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly).
  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Map risks, identify contingency actions.
  • Identify external supplies required and develop procurement plan.

 

NVC trainer

Duties:

  • Develops, plans and prepares all NVC materials required for the conduction of sufficient workshops.
  • Provides supervision of all the workshop facilitators.
  • Conducts NVC trainings for workshops facilitators, providing training coaching and emotional recovery and support for participants.
  • Leads the selection process of participants.
  • Develops and plans components and activities of the workshop with the co-facilitator.
  • Reads evaluation reports and gives feedback on workshops.
  • Evaluate the work of the facilitators.
  • Takes initiative in Advocacy Support of the project with co-facilitator. 

Requirements:

  • Working place: office in Kyiv, central district.
  • Part-time employment (around 8 working days per month)
  • Certification by the Center for Nonviolent Communication, USA
  • A strong grounding in NVC consciousness, and a deep understanding of the NVC process
  • Proficient training skills
  • Completed Higher education (Bachelor or Master’s degree)
  • At least 5 years of significant experience as an NVC trainer, including trainings, lectures, workshops
  • Recommendations from the previous working place will be beneficial
  • Command of English language both written and oral  - Upper-intermediate level or higher will be beneficial
  • Additional certification and experience in mediation, conflict resolution, negotiation and restorative justice mediation will be considered as an advantage
  • Ukrainian citizenship or resident. 

Co-fasilitator 

Duties:

  • Actively engages with NVC trainer in the development of workshop programmes.
  • Co-facilitates the training programmes that were co-produced using a range of teaching methods.
  • Coordinates activities and provides assistant for the NVC trainer during the selection process.
  • Researches and prepares for the training programmes when required.
  • Delivers presentations when required to do so.
  • Provides advocacy work for the programme and it’s participants in order to support acceptance and cooperation with other Ukrainian actors within the fields of mediation and dialogue facilitation 

Requirements:

  • Working place: office in Kyiv, central district.
  • Part-time employment (up to 5 working days per month)
  • At least one year of teaching NVC as a non-certified trainer, including leading workshops and practice groups
  • Significant training experiences with at least three different CNVCCertified Trainers
  •  At least 40 days of NVC training over the course of three years
  • A strong grounding in NVC consciousness, and a deep understanding of the NVC process
  • Completed Higher education (Bachelor or Master’s degree).
  • Recommendations from the previous working place will be beneficial
  • Command of English language both written and oral  - Upper-intermediate level or higher will be beneficial
  • Additional certification in mediation, conflict resolution, negotiation and restorative justice will be considered as an advantage.

 

Translator 

Duties:

  • Provides  written and oral translation, both simultaneous and consecutive on request (En, Ukr, Rus)
  • Translates handout materials (En, Ukr, Rus)
  • Editing, proofreading and review of translated document
  • Provides written and oral translation of correspondence in Ukrainian/Russian to English speakers  and vice versa
  • Assists in preparation for workshops (i.e. preparing materials, equipment, etc.)
  • Develops translation templates of routine/standard documentation, translates documents workflow
  • Liaising  on matters of editing and review of translated documents
  • Interpreting at meetings/conferences, if required       

Requirement:

  • Working place: office in Kyiv, central district.
  • Part-time employment (around 8 working days per month)
  • Higher Education (BA or MA) in translation, philology or linguistics
  • Proficient level of English both written and oral is a must
  • Profound knowledge of business Ukrainian language
  • At least 3 (three) years of experience in interpretation and translation in/from English 
  • Knowledge of NVC language, tools and techniques will be beneficial
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc).
  • Working knowledge of Google Drive is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail, ability to provide accurate and complete translations
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Willing to travel throughout Ukraine on business trip at short notice

Dignity Space is an initiative founded by the coordinators of the voluntary network Evacuation + (E +) and the Ukrainian Coordination Center for International Aid Victims in the events of EuroMaidan with the support of foreign specialists from the international network of non-violent communication (The Center for Nonviolent Communication, CNVC). Our mission is to ensure that all citizens, groups and organizations in Ukraine settle conflicts and disputes in a peaceful way through dialogue. 

**About the Project:

The Project “Infrastructure pilot project for Education in Peaceful conflict resolution” will be implemented in order to support other people in non-profit organizations to learn through the workshops about inclusive dialogue processes as tool to transform polarization into peaceful cooperation.
