Coordinator for International Programmes for the NUJU, deadline is 20 July 2017.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) is stepping up its cooperation with international organisations and is looking for a responsible, highly motivated junior professional who is interested in journalism and media development projects. Currently the NUJ is working with UNESCO, OSCE, Office of the UN Human Rights Commissioner, International Federation of Journalists and other organizations. The coordinator shall support the NUJU chairman with liaison with international partners and running projects.

Responsibilities of International Programmes Coordinator:

• Coordinate NUJ’s projects supported by international organisations: consultants hire, administration and results monitoring
• fundraising
• prepare project proposals and budget estimates
• implement international programmes in line with NUJ’s priorities
• establish and develop communications with international partners, diplomatic missions, donors, media associations, think-tanks and foreign academia
• consult and provide support to NUJ’s regional branches in their implementation of donors’ supported projects
• draft interim and final reports for donors
• share success stories to NUJU website and social media

 Requirements:

• at least three years of experience in similar position
• at least two successfully implemented projects
• understanding of media environment, contacts with journalists in regions
• fluent Ukrainian, Russian and English.

We offer official employment, basic salary of 7 000 UAH nett with potential for substantial salary increase, given successful fundraising efforts. Probation period is 3 months.
