HealthRight International seeks a Project Coordinator based in Kyiv for its portfolio of programming on street children and youth.

The goal of the Street Children and Youth Project is to improve access to social, medical, and psychological services for street and at-risk children and youth through improvements in the scope, quality, and coverage of services and improved coordination of and access to these existing services.  

Responsibilities include overall project management, recruitment and supervision of a Project Coordinator in Donetsk, oversight of the Drop-In Center (DIC) for street and at-risk children facility and supervision of the DIC team in Chernihiv, establishment of the project referral network with local and national partners, project planning, monitoring and reporting, project fiscal and budgetary oversight, outreach, training, capacity building, case management, frequent regional travel and other activities to fulfil project objectives. This individual will provide coordination and support for all HealthRight projects focused on street children and youth in Ukraine, particularly “Coordinated Services for Street Children and Youth in Donetsk” and “Drop-In Centre for Street Children in Chernihiv” Projects. The Coordinator will report to the HealthRight Country Director in Ukraine.  

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience working in the area of child welfare and development, work experience with street and at-risk youth is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and staff supervision skills, ideally in an international development setting, to include: program launching, work planning and team management on the operational level, budget management, program reporting.
  • Experience building partnerships at the local and national levels, relationship management skills, negotiation skills, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with international donor requirements and I-NGO standards.
  • Self-directed, team player, responsible, hardworking with good communication skills.  
  • A relevant post-graduate qualification (social work, public health or policy, psychology preferred).
  • Excellent Ukrainian, Russian, and English language skills.
  • Advanced computer/IT skills.
  • Ukrainian national.
