TechSoup шукає експерта з впровадження новітніх технологій для розвитку громад з великим досвідом керівництва проектами. Дедлайн - 26 червня 2017 р. (далі - англ.). 

TechSoup is looking for a community builder and civic tech enthusiast with a strong project management background. The successful candidate should have passion, strong interest and a track record of working on civic tech projects; community building and project coordination. The position will be based at the TechSoup European headquarters in Warsaw, Poland. You will be working out of a creative and dynamic office in a highly matrixed environment. Be ready to travel and have fun! The ability to work internationally across different cultures and languages is an absolute must.

Role

You will be responsible for implementing a community project in Ukraine which aims to bolster civic engagement around open data. Your role will be to ensure the overall successful implementation of the project, including:

  • Shaping and maintaining cross-sectorial collaboration between civil society organizations and local administration in 5 local centers in Ukraine,
  • Planning curricula of educational activities directed at both administration and CSOs,
  • Designing and implementing public services based on data.

Responsibilities

Partnership and Knowledge Management

  • Establishing and owning direct relationships with current project partners and local communities based on mutual trust, respect and common goals;
  • Representing TechSoup at international events, establishing new connections and partnerships;
  • Working closely with Community Program team members to connect and synergize impact of diverse projects; tailoring strategic directions, and driving new project opportunities;
  • Mentoring new local partners and transferring the knowledge and project requirements;
  • Working closely with the Education Manager of TechSoup to capture methodologies and experiences for the sake of future adaptation and replicability;
  • Organizing events, meet-ups, hackathons, online challenges and conferences individually and in cooperation with project partners and team members;
  • Communicating offline and online with stakeholders, promoting activities, writing blog posts and articles, maintaining and improving existing social media channels.

Project Coordination

  • Ensuring excellent program delivery through project management; coordinating the entire project lifecycle, including development of scope, gathering of specifications, tracking, reporting, and implementation.
  • Tracking and managing project resources, milestones and deliverables, including internal as well as outsourced work effort. Creating and managing project working plans and working budgets.
  • Analysis and management of project risks. External stakeholder management, including partner escalation and ongoing partner management.
  • Coordination with in-country individuals and organizations to assist in implementing programs for country activity.
  • Maintaining communication and interaction with project partners with a goal to develop strategy, priorities and requirements.
  • Reporting according to the donor requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in coordinating civic tech and/or civic engagement projects in nonprofit sector;
  • Knowledge and experience in civic technology or open data/open government movement;
  • Sound understanding of civil society organizations in Europe as well as understanding of CSOs’ technology needs and challenges in implementing technology solutions;
  • Familiarity with key stakeholders in Europe in the area of open data, technology for social good and civic technologies;
  • Solid understanding of political developments across Europe;
  • International work experience;
  • BA or other advanced degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field strongly preferred;
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work and negotiate across different cultures and languages;
  • Excellent command of English and Ukrainian;
  • Excellent presentation, communication and social media skills.
