Проект USAID RESPOND оголошує конкурс на посаду Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Consultant. Дедлайн - 10 березня 2017 р. (далі - англ.).

The SBC Consultant will ensure that all HIV/AIDS activities for key populations are grounded in SBC theory, best practices and evidence, in line with the project’s emphasis of evidence based programming.  S/he will provide technical assistance in HIV.

JOB TITLE:                           Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Consultant

LOCATION:                         Kiev, Ukraine

REPORTS TO:                     Senior Technical Advisor, RESPOND

Period of performance: March 15 – July 31, 2017

Program Description

The overarching goal of the RESPOND Project is to assist the Government of Ukraine in reducing levels of HIV transmission among key populations and their sexual partners by improving the continuum of HIV prevention, care, treatment, and other supporting services delivered by local organizations. Working the project provides technical assistance to national and local Ukrainian institutions to improve key populations access and use of quality HIV/AIDS services, with a focus on HIV prevention. 

BASIC FUNCTION

The SBC Consultant will ensure that all HIV/AIDS activities for key populations are grounded in SBC theory, best practices and evidence, in line with the project’s emphasis of evidence based programming.  S/he will provide technical assistance in HIV prevention, care and treatment services to key project partners representing Ukraine civil society. Serving as a key member of the Effective Behavioral Interventions team, s/he will support the Senior Technical Advisor and current SBC Manager to support implementation of current interventions, collect data and lessons learned and support documentation and adaptation of program materials.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring of Effective Behavioral Interventions (EBIs) implemented or funded by the RESPOND program in Ukraine including on-site mentoring visits to ensure interventions are implemented in accordance with guidance and trouble-shooting issues;
  • Support communities of practice for currently implemented interventions to discuss challenges, issues, and joint results;
  • Prepare RESPOND-wide materials for the EBI team including summary documents, program reporting, videos, annual/quarterly report materials, etc.;
  • Participate in key technical working groups/meetings as necessary
  • Manage the solicitation, procurement, and management of consultants and vendors related to SBC specific activities in compliance with FHI 360 regulations
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, development, or related discipline
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in social and behavior change communication, with a focus on HIV/AIDS and key populations
  • Experience working with public (government) and private (civil society and non-governmental) entities
  • Experience with training curriculum adaptation and training delivery based on adult learning principles
  • Familiarity with behavioral theory and evidence based programming
  • Experience with USAID or other donor-funded projects implementing and/or managing SBC activities
  • Strong written and communication skills; ability to provide technical and copy edit review of project documents
  • Proficient in English preferred; Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian
  • Ability to travel up to 30% time
