Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. We offer assistance to people based on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. MSF Ukraine is looking for a :

FINANCE/ACCOUNTANCY MANAGER (based in Kiev)

Main duties:

• Coordinate and oversee the monthly and yearly closing of accounts, inform the superior about it for its consolidation, with the aim that the statement reflects the financial reality of the mission. Ensure strict respect of deadlines.
• Ensure compliance to MSF guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures for the mission: in particular financial standards and procedures, and engagement of expenditure (purchasing and payment procedures).
• Responsible for quality and timely accounting for the whole mission: both paper accounting (invoices and receipts, required support documents and proper audit trail), electronic data-entry (encoding in the accounting software), including consolidation and archiving of the accounting journals for the whole mission (for capital and all fields)
• Coordinate and ensure that the procedures governing money management are properly followed
• Ensure reporting conditions are met and stakeholders in the mission are informed of their responsibilities (for example, logistics for stock inventory, quotes)
• Is the technical reference for any accounting-related issue including compliance with MSF financial standards and procedures, legal compliance, training and support on the MSF accounting software / system

Requirements

Education

Essential solid accountancy training and experience-professional accounting qualification. Desirable University degree in accounting, finance or business administration.

Experience

Essential 4 years previous experience in similar relevant position jobs.

Languages

Fluently speaking English. Ukrainian and Russian.

Knowledge

Essential computer literacy (word, excel, internet) Local accounting standards, desirable MSF accounting software (SAGA), local laws.
