The Canada-Ukraine Trade and Investment Support (CUTIS) Project is currently seeking Project Assistant.
Role
The role of the Project Assistant is to provide administrative support and assistance to the Project Team in the performance of their duties in an efficient and effective manner which contributes to the achievement of the goals and targets associated with the Activities that are part of the Project Scope.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Teams, Management Staff and specialists as well as corporate participants in order to ensure the achievement of the anticipated results of the CUTIS Project;
- As directed, carry out research (or data mining) activities to collect information, assist in monitoring CUTIS Project results;
- Assist in developing a work schedule for the tasks comprising the Activities assigned to ensure that the appropriate results are achieved on a timely basis;
- Data entry and upkeep of CUTIS Project databases (including working contacts, suppliers of office stationary, equipment, carriers, hotels, etc.) ensuring a high level of accuracy
- Translate information and data to be included in various English and/or Ukrainian and English-Ukrainian bilingual website portals, reports, publications, etc.;
- Catalogue and maintain a record of copies of all the electronic (cloud space) and hard copies of all the Project documents and materials;
- Assist in making all necessary arrangements as required for the events such as seminars, tradeshows and conferences, including accommodation and travel issues for participants and teams’ member;
- Providing logistic and technical support for meetings, missions of Canadian experts and other staff to Ukraine
- Contribute to the maintenance and effectiveness of the communication channels with all internal and external participants in the CUTIS Project;
- Create, catalogue and maintain copies of all Progress and/or Status Reports prepared by the Teams in Canada and Ukraine;
- Manage the availability of all office supplies, administer and source the necessary maintenance services for office equipment;
- Coordinate the resolution of IT issues when they occur.
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
The selected candidate must be a self-motivated team player, independent, quick study and results oriented individual who has demonstrated an ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- University degree.
- At least three years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, strong interpersonal communication, networking.
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

CUTIS is a five-year development assistance project funded by the Government of Canada (GOC) through Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The project’s implementation period is from February 2016 until February 2021. The Project is implemented by the Conference Board of Canada (CBoC) in coalition with the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (CUCC). CUTIS Project aims to reduce poverty and increase sustainable economic growth in Ukraine through the expansion of Ukrainian exports to Canada and the encouragement of Canadian investment in Ukraine.
