PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The July '16 Program will take place July 4 - December 23rd, 2016 in Bangalore, India.

The IDEX mission is to create the next wave of social intrapreneurs who will support, lead and advance the work of socially-focused enterprises around the world. Social intrapreneurs are becoming key actors in the race towards a new kind of economy.

Course Level: IDEX offers a professional development programme for Social Intrapreneurs. In short, they offer a six-month fellowship programme for those wanting to work with social enterprises.

Study Subject: IDEX is a six-month fellowship experience designed for Aspiring intrapreneurs who want to take control their career path while helping to address society’s most pressing problems. Fellows gain emerging market experience while working hands on with socially-focused enterprises who deliver high impact solutions in local and global communities.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates must possess the minimum qualifications to be eligible for the IDEX Fellowship:

Bachelor or Masters/Graduate Degree (BS/BA/BBA must be obtained prior to start of programme);

• Age limit: 21-35 years old
• Ability to perform in a high pressure environment;
• English fluency (written and spoken);
• Can obtain an India Business visa for a minimum of six months
• Minimum of 1-3 years of professional work experience;
• Excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Nationality: Fellows from all corners of the world are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: In order to be eligible applicants must have a bachelor or masters/Graduate Degree (BS/BA/BBA must be obtained prior to start of programme).

English Language Requirement: In order to be eligible applicants must have english fluency (written and spoken).

TUITION

Tuition for the July '16 Fellowship Program is $3,950 USD.

IDEX exists to build a diverse and inclusive society of social intrapreneurs that stretch across all corners of the globe. 

Tuition covers the following:

• 3-week virtual orientation 
• India field orientation (lodging + meals for all 4 days)
• Monthly mentoring/capacity building workshops during fellowship
• Networking events
• 1:1 Mentoring sessions during fellowship
• Curated curriculum 
• Full-time support staff & field managers

Tuition does not cover:

• Travel to/from India
• Transportation to/from the airport
• Passport or Business visa cost
• Living expenses during the fellowship

STIPENDS & HOUSING

Stipends

Fellows will receive a monthly living stipend (approx. $125 USD/month) towards cost of their living expenses. IDEX estimates that fellows living expenses, while in India, will average $250- $350 USD per month based on the city placement.

Please note the monthly stipends are intended to reduce a portion of the fellow's living expenses but are not intended to cover all estimated monthly living expenses.

Housing

IDEX provides shared housing accommodations for fellows (at no cost to the fellow) during the fellowship period. Fellows will be responsible for paying monthly utility costs.

SCHOLARSHIPS

IDEX is able to a limited number of partial scholarships for the 2016 Program to select candidates.

IDEX SCHOLARSHIP FUND: $500- $2,000

IDEX provides partial scholarships for select fellows seeking to participate in the IDEX Accelerator program. Funding is merit-based and awarded to the most promising candidates who demonstrate a commitment and passion to continue working in the social enterprise sector post fellowship.

This application is open to all global applicants. 

IDVESTWISE SCHOLARSHIP FUND: $3,500

As part of our commitment to investing in the transformation power of women’s leadership, IDEX has launched the INVESTWISE Scholarship Fund with the goal of empowering and training future women intrapreneurs. Funding is awarded to the most promising candidates who demonstrate a commitment to continue working for a socially progressive enterprise post-fellowship.

This scholarship award is restricted to female applicants only and requires a letter of recommendation from a mentor.

Applications must be submitted online. The IDEX Fellowship selection process operates on a very tight timeline. Applicants progress through two application phases:
