Summary of Position:

IREX office in Ukraine is seeking a qualified and dynamic Program/Finance Assistant with background in program management and experience in administrative and financial support of program operations, as well as an understanding of community, media, and citizen engagement programming including training and events. Program/Finance Assistant will work under the supervision of Program Manager and support day to day program activity implementation through administrative, logistical, and financial support. Program/Finance Assistant will also support technical implementation as needed. This position is contingent upon funding.

Program/Finance Assistant’s specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Assist Program Manager by providing programmatic, financial, administrative, and logistical support to ensure smooth implementation of the program;
  • Support day to day management of the program activities;
  • Liaise with Grants/Finance Coordinator and assist with financial reporting;
  • Organize program trainings, events, and activities;
  • Coordinate all program logistics and ensure effective administration and operations; 
  • Support effective collaborations with program partners;
  • Participate in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of program activities when needed;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in public administration, management, political science, and/or another relevant field is preferred;
  • At least 2 years of experience working as Program Assistant of donor-funded projects;
  • Excellent communications skills, including ability to make public presentations;
  • Experience with grants management is a plus;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Strong command of spoken/written English, Ukrainian, and Russian;
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlines;
  • Ability to travel.
