International NGO “Internews Ukraine” is looking for a motivated professional to take a full-time position of the Grant Manager.

Job Description:

Grant Manager is the key person, directly responsible for the fundraising activities within the organization. A person at the position is to manage and coordinate grant activities at the organization, including ensuring that internal Fundraising policies and procedures, researching funding opportunities, reviewing and writing grant proposals, reviewing grant reports, communicating with funding agencies/donors, and monitoring overall contract compliance.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Coordination of the fundraising activities of the organization;
• Monitoring of new calls for proposals and tenders, announced by local and international donor institutions;
• Development of proposals, concept notes or other types of applications for grant competitions (ongoing and perspective). Preparing relevant supporting documents for the application pack, according to the requirements of the donor (in Ukrainian or English languages);
• Drafting budgets in coordination with the financial department (final budget is prepared by Financial department);
• Ensuring timely applications for relevant calls for proposals;
• Keeping records in the Project and Donors’ Databases;
• Interaction with project managers and directors of the organization for the development of new projects, ideas and initiatives;
• Coordination of reporting processes for key grants, writing or proofreading project reports;
• Communication with partners of the organization;
• Translation work (translation of contracts, reports, letters, etc.).

Qualifications and requirements:

• Excellent oral and written skills in English (obligatory);
• At least one year of relevant experience in similar post or experience in the sphere of fundraising and writing projects;
• Understanding of the non-profit sector and international donors;
• Writing skills are must – clearly, structured and logical writing;
• Knowledge of the Media sector is an advantage;
• Systematic approach to work, ability to keep an order with documents;
• Attention to details, multitasking, and planning skills;
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under stress;
• Organizational, communication and managerial skills;
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple project applications/tasks simultaneously;
• Proven capacity to work independently and within a team environment;
• Ability to work with confidential information;
• Previous experience in project management (NGO sector) is an advantage;
• Good knowledge of MS Office suite, especially Word and Excel;
• Education or internship abroad is an advantage.
