The American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative is recruiting for the position: Project Administrator

Under the management of the Deputy Country Director, the Project Administrator will provide daily management and support the projects in Ukraine, especially on the development of the Secondary free legal aid.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point person for project beneficiaries and provide overall day-to-day project management of criminal defense reform program;
  • Organize Working Group meetings, roundtables, seminars, conferences, and trainings;
  • Assist in the preparation of research, work plans, memos, articles and additional correspondence necessary in producing monthly, quarterly, annual reports and financial reports to donors and partners;
  • Co-ordinate, monitor, effectively communicate and work with contractors retained for the project (i.e.: translators, editors, etc.), to ensure timely deliverables of products and services;
  • Work to with technical staff to manage development and implementation of new online learning website for legal aid providers;
  • Work with other staff to provide administrative, logistical and programmatic assistance for implementation of ABA ROLI project activities, including preparing invitations, agendas, correspondence, and conference materials, and maintaining contact information for partners; and
  • Work with ABA ROLI staff to administer monitoring and evaluation plan.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in relevant field and minimum of 2 years experience in project implementation and management;
  • Previous work with an international organization or NGO is preferred;
  • Work in the Democracy & Governance or Rule of Law sector preferred;
  • Professional fluency in English and Ukrainian is required;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Strong ability to simultaneously manage several projects, including administrative, logistical and program implementation.
