Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Carries responsibility for quality assurance in the area of work with families of origin
- Develop national concepts, standards and guidelines jointly with FS project staff, and supports external evaluations and quality audits of FS interventions/activities/projects based on relevant policies, standards, and guidelines
- Organize and conduct trainings for the Family Strengthening Projects (FSP) staff
- Explores opportunities and develops proposals for new FSP
- Proposes strategic goals and participates in the development and implementation of the National Plan in the area of family strengthening
- Accompanies activity of coordinators of FSP in Kiev, Brovary and Lugansk. Give them support and advices in area of the development, monitoring and evaluation of activity of projects
- Monitor, control and evaluate the quality and progress of FS interventions, including through project visits, audits, and review of project reports, statistics, and self-evaluation results to ensure that FS interventions are in line with relevant documents and strategic targets
- Ensures that the set goals under her/his responsibility are reached
- Provides expertise to the National Programme Development Director
- Be also in charge of establishing and maintaining cooperation/partnerships with other stakeholders in the field of family strengthening
- Being active in relevant forums with the aim to advocate on behalf of the organisation for the rights of children at risk of losing the care of their family
Minimum qualifications, experience and skills:
- Higher education in the psychology, social or pedagogical field , development studies or public administration
- At least 3 years experience of implementing a social programme(s)
- Work experience with children and vulnerable families
- Strong skills and experience in developing grant proposals, project management, planning, monitoring, research and evaluation of activity
- Upper-intermediate written and spoken English
- Basic financial understanding
- Basic human resource development skills
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Good knowledge of children’s rights and social development issues (gender, education, health, HIV/AIDS)
Personality characteristics:
- Able to manage own time and to work under high pressure
- Good at relationship building with different levels of the organisation
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Team player
- Keep deadlines
Preferred additional criteria:
- Good MS Office skills
- Experience in community mobilization
- Experience in NGO sector is a big plus
- Work experience in the pedagogical area or as a business trainer
- Will and ability to cope with flexible working hours and to travel occasionally
