UCIPR is seeking applications from qualified managers for the position of communication manager. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The communication manager:

  • Implements communication strategy and organizes all communication activities of the organization;
  • Organizes communication among organization and its stakeholders (NGOs, international assistance organizations, government);
  • Produces regular newsletters and updates on activities of the organization for international assistance organizations and other partners in both English and Ukrainian;
  • Maintains and permanently updates website of the organization;
  • Monitors funding opportunities;
  • Develops promotional and communicational materials, including press releases, articles, comments et.cet.;
  • Edits and translates final versions of project reports and proposals of the organization;
  • Organizes development of public reports and success stories of the organization. 

Required Qualifications: 

Education: Master’s Degree in Humanities (foreign languages). 

Prior Work Experience:

Non-governmental organizations on position communication manager/grant manager/fundraising manager.

Experience of work with international assistance.

Knowledge:

An in-depth understanding of requirements of international assistance organizations regarding applying for funding and implementation of projects. 

Language Proficiency: Fluent English and Ukrainian is required. Advanced skills of translating official documents (especially project proposals and reports) are required. 

Skills and Abilities: Other required abilities include good judgment, strong communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interpret organization policy and guidance and follow procedures accurately; ability to work independently on multiple tasks and meet deadlines; proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and to proactively build consensus. 

Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to generate and maintain spreadsheets. 

Period of employment: From January 2013 to July 2014. (With possibility for further cooperation).
