Management Systems International (MSI), a global international development firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks a qualified candidate for a long-term position of Communications/ Social Media Assistant on the USAID-funded Access to Justice and Legal Empowerment Project in Ukraine. 

The Communications/ Social Media Assistant will provide web-based outreach and communication support. This will include: assisting in implementation of communication strategies for coalitions of the Project using online tools, maintaining the Project website (its external and internal parts), e-mail listings and social media tools as assigned: Facebook site, Youtube site, podcasts and other social media sites; maintaining media and partners contact lists, media electronic and printed databases; assisting in organizing media events as press conferences and Media Clubs.

The Assistant will communicate with coalitions using new information technologies and web tools, managing Project’s photo collection, drafting messages for blogs, website, posting short news and success stories in English and Ukrainian, producing Project’s Bi-Weekly News Digest (using best judgment on which law news, news from partners and success stories to include).  

The successful candidate should have university degree, at least 1 year of progressive experience in PR/social media/ law, excellent knowledge of Ukrainian, English and Russian languages, strong computer skills, ability to meet deadlines, ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Knowledge of legislation and law sphere in Ukraine is desired.
