SOS Children’s Villages UKRAINE registered as a non-profit development organization working in Ukraine since 2003, is recruiting Fundraiser as a full time employee, who will be based in the National office in Kiev. In Ukraine we have facilities and projects in Kiev, in Brovary.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Planning, monitoring, analyzing and evaluating each campaign and activity according to the planning and reporting procedure.
2. Carrying out PR activities according to the PR business plan in order to support the fundraising activities and to position SOS Children’s Villages in the country.
3. Adhere to all official manuals, guidelines, minutes of Fund Development Communication Workshops and standards issued by the SOS Children’s Villages or the Fund Development Communication Department CEE/CIS/Baltics as well as to the legal requirements in the country.
4. Supporting and coordinating the facilities in their local fundraising activities
5. Monitoring competitors in terms of fundraising and PR, the development in the market, as well as fundraising-related legal regulations
6. Arranging and conducting important events, coordination of visits and topics and reporting on important events for internal and international publication.
7. Ensuring that communication for fundraising follows a child-rights terminology and approach

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Self-motivated, determined, innovative, pro-active
• University degree in business administration, marketing or fundraising.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and social competence.
• Competence in strategic planning, budgeting, analysis and evaluation.
• Good MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point especially Access) commands.
• Able to deal with persons in high (social) positions and to get along with various types of people.
• Well-rooted in the country in his/her field of work (member of relevant associations and networks).
• Good contacts to press and media and relevant agencies (communication, advertising, promotion agencies)
• Can identify with the vision, mission and values of SOS Children’s Villages
• Understanding for the specific position of Public Relations towards Fundraising
• A proven track record of at least 3-5 years in fundraising, marketing or sales - depending on the educational background.
• Feels comfortable with asking directly for money support.
• Good command of English, written and spoken
