Пройшло вже кілька місяців з моменту появи оголошення про співпрацю на ГУРТі по промоції українських авторів, що пишуть англійською.

І ось ми звітуємо, що виконано нами (анг). Чому звітуємо, тому, що ГУРТ – це не дошка оголошень, а це ресурс, що об’єднує суспільно активних людей та допомагає будувати в Україні громадське суспільство!

We need to learn English

Ukraine has officially declared the Euro Atlantic course of political and economical development. Implementation of international events is actively initiated in Ukraine, including Euro-2012. But all foreign delegations and simply tourists from other countries are shocked, when in the streets, in public establishments they can’t communicate with Ukrainians!

Ukrainians do not know English and it is a sad fact which breaks the process of Euro Atlantic integration of Ukraine, considerably reduces the level of competitiveness of the Ukrainian specialists. In our time anymore and anymore Ukrainians are interested to know English. They understand all importance of this study. They understand very well that they are needed advantages which are given by knowledge of English to any cultural man. The study of any foreign language exposes new possibilities before us.

Only English is presently accepted and used for international intercourse, therefore knowledge of English has to become for us – Ukrainians as a necessity. In fact English is understood everywhere in the world! English is improved the quality of our life in all its spheres. Ukrainians will be able to find friends in all corners of earth, at first socializing with them on the internet, and afterwards being in a position to visit them personally or invite them in Ukraine.

They will get access to all electronic and printing informative resources, because practically all books and scientific articles, having a world value, are written in English language, or translated to it. And it yet far not complete list of arguments in behalf on importance of study of English. Therefore TRC “TAV-DAIR” is very interested to help in this matter, we want not only popularize English among readers but among writers too. MASS MEDIA, Non government organizations and other organizations of civil society have to activate their role in the process of popularization of English among the population of Ukraine.

Unfortunately, in Ukraine is very little artistic literature in English, especially popular genre. The Ukrainian writers who are writing in English are practically not present. In this we went out with initiative to support the domestic writers who are writing in English of popular genre (fantasy, adventures, romanticism).
