The idea of the project ”Let’s echo our history, let’s echo our bonds – are we within or just beyond?” was initiated by participants of the nationwide workshops on historical comic strips organized in Miechów near Krakow in spring 2017, being held annually and aiming to increase the accessibility of cultural resources and their dissemination. Historical comic book, or a story in pictures, enriches the knowledge in a given area, and aims to convey and publicize the historical truth. Having inspired by the ideas of the forerunners, the youth decided to play a key role in the culture, history and traditions of Poland and Ukraine, whose ties are often undermined and the roots forgotten. Young people want to strengthen intercultural dialogue, discover common roots and values, and break stereotypes or prejudices in the perception of common history, so that PL and UKR citizens exposed to social exclusion can also feel that they are united and share the same emotions. The participants’ role is to create a sequential picture story that connects sighted Europeans and blind readers in the form of a comic book enriched with an audible description of the visual layer – audiodescription, which is a huge added value of the project.

Вимоги до учасників:

• Віком 16-30 років (тім лідер від 18 та без обмежень)
• Інтерес до тематики історії та міжкультурного діалогу
• Наявність унікального таланту та мотивації провести літо з користю
• Здатність працювати на англійській мові
• Наявність готового біометричного паспорту або візи
• Активна, позитивна та відкрита людина.

Результати відбору: впродовж 2 тижнів після дедлайну всі апліканти отримають результати на свій email.
