Seminar for (aspiring) YouTubers from Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine

Lviv, 5 – 11 June 2017

YouTube (YT) is an integral part of our media landscape. And it can be harnessed to promote democracy and human rights. This interactive workshop, held in Lviv, Ukraine, offers a unique opportunity for YouTubers and civil society activists, journalists and artists aspiring to use YouTube for their work to expand audiences, improve content and maximise the impact of their messages.

The curriculum, taught in English by leading experts from (digital) media, includes inputs on digital media, social campaigning, filmmaking and journalism ethics as well as ample room for practical work on a joint YouTube campaign and personal coaching.

Travel costs, accommodation and board for the entire duration of the seminar are covered.

Who can apply? Target groups and requirements

Applications are invited from (aspiring) YouTubers between 18 - 32 from Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine. We expect applicants to make themselves available for the entire duration of the workshop (5-11 June 2017) and participate in all sessions.

Proficiency in English is required.
