The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organization helping people forced to flee. We work in crises across 31 countries, providing emergencies and long-term assistance to millions of people every year. We stand up for people forced to flee, advocating their rights. NORCAP, our global provider of expertise, helps improve international and local ability to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from crises. NRC also runs the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre in Geneva, a global leader in reporting on and advocating for people displaced within their own country.

NRC started its activities in Ukraine in late 2014, striving to help people that have been displaced by the conflict that has affected over 5 million people. We support internally displaced Ukrainians in conflict-affected communities in government-controlled areas of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, especially along the contact line. Our support addresses basic needs, but as displacement becomes protracted, we have also begun to contribute to durable solutions. Our activities in the country are transitioning from emergency relief to early recovery. We work to improve the delivery of services to conflict affected people and to increase local ownership of the humanitarian response.

NRC Ukraine is looking for Program and support roster staff in our offices in Kyiv and Severodonetsk who can join NRC Ukraine at short notice and for limited duration of time. These are the profiles we are looking for:

• Data collectors
• Program assistants
• Drivers

Main requirements and recruitment profile:

Data collectors/programme assistants:

• Good knowledge of the Ukrainian humanitarian context
• Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian.
• Experience from working on similar positions is an advantage.
• Knowledge of software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, KOBO) is mandatory

Drivers:

• Driver’s license
• Professional experience as drivers
• Basic knowledge of car mechanics (tyre/oil/filter change) is mandatory
• Computer literacy is an advantage
