Regular monitoring of the CEDAW COBs implementation is very important for ensuring increased accountability of the state on its commitments on gender equality and women’s empowerment. The role of civil society and women’s organizations is crucial in this process.

UN Women aims to build knowledge and develop capacities of CSOs working on gender equality and with women facing multiple forms of discrimination, to monitor the implementation of CEDAW COBs by the Parliament and Government of Ukraine, as well as by the judicial system and municipal/local government institutions.

UN Women is therefore seeking to contract the services of a company/organization with extensive experience in gender equality and women’s empowerment, as well as with in-depth knowledge and understanding of CEDAW reporting cycle and procedures to develop a monitoring methodology for implementation of the CEDAW COBs on the eighth periodic report of Ukraine (CEDAW Watch Tool) and capacitate CSOs on its application.
