Position: Shelter Coordinator (with components of WASH and food security)
Reports to: Project Development Manager – Shelter (PDM)
Supervision of: Shelter Officers and Shelter Assistants
Duty station: Luhansk and Donetsk Regions
Travel: 75% in the field location
Duration and type of contract: 12 months contingent upon availability of funds

Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the Shelter Coordinator positon is to implement designated Shelter project and to manage and capacity build project staff.
Generic responsibilities
Manage and implement delegated portfolio of CC shelter projects (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements, and ensure high technical quality, and provide regular reports to PDM
Develop and manage project budget, as delegated from PDM
Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
Assess and recommend the type of winterisation assistance (reconstruction, in-kind assistance, cash assistants), food assistance, and water, sanitation, hygiene promotion, etc. based on needs for conflict affected population
Ensure sound technical solutions in line with national regulations and standards
Develop and implement correct data tracking and monitoring tools for all interventions

By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are:
Area operations: Logistics Officer, Finance/Admin Officer, Safety and Security Officer, HR Coordinator
