The successful candidate will support FST efforts to facilitate development of the non-bank financial market (i.e., leasing, factoring, finance companies, investment companies). He/she may also support efforts to develop capital and commodity markets.

Responsibilities:

 Specific Tasks include the following:

 Analyze data and statistics on the NBFI market segments in Ukraine, monitor their/growth/development;

• Support innovative approaches to increasing access to finance for SMEs (factoring, crowdfunding, etc.);
• Work with the non-bank financial, agrarian, energy and capital market participants and stakeholders to identify opportunities to develop and introduce  new financial instruments (commodities and derivatives markets);
• Research on risk management practices by NBFIs especially in in agricultural and energy sectors;
• Energy, agricultural and financial spot and futures market development analysis, non-bank financial market assessment and projection, forecast modeling and capacity measuring;
• Commodity and financial instruments assessment, securities transaction analysis;
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

  Required Qualifications:

-        University degree in finance, business and economics, advanced degree preferred;

-        Extensive knowledge of Ukrainian financial sector,

-        At least five (5) years of work/professional experience in an NBFI in a relevant market sector; 

-        Understanding of commodity futures (agro, energy) and/or capital/financial markets derivatives;

-        Solid data management experience, especially in financial modeling, reporting, risk management, cost-benefit, cash flow projections and securities transaction analysis;

-        Knowledge of international standards and practices in commodities and derivatives regulated markets and non-bank financial markets;

-        Excellent project management skills;

-        Advanced MS Excel skills;

-        Knowledge of data management programming (Pyton, R, VBA etc);

-        Extensive experience with research, writing analytical/assessment reports;

-        Strong communication and presentation skills;

-        Fluency in Ukrainian and English.
