Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. We offer assistance to people based on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. MSF Ukraine is looking for: 

ER MEDICAL DOCTOR (Severodonetsk)

Main duties:

Instructs healthcare professionals in BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS and ATLS standards and expectations, as according to national and international algorithms. Instructs courses using the required materials, paperwork and equipment/instructor to student ratios.

Evaluates and assesses training for purpose of performance improvement of training content and instructor qualifications.

• Prepare class outlines, course schedule, teaching materials, and practical skill sessions at the level credentialed to teach.

• Manage student learning and facilitate recording and disseminating student progress.

• Ensure a safe learning environment.

• Operate equipment and apparatus.

• Perform daily maintenance on all equipment.

• Inventory and manage consumable items (syringes, catheters, dressing materials, fluids, etc.)

• Remain updated with the scope of practice for the level credentialed to teach.

• Ensuring regular contact with local authorities and institutions, other NGOs in the region and other MSF sections, for a better coordination in the implementation of project.

• Negotiating with the authorities when necessary.

• Implement quality assurance tools to ensure compliance with MSF standards, policies, guidelines and protocols

• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education 

• Essential Medical degree
• Specialization in Emergency Medicine is preferred, but not mandatory. Specialization in Reanimatology, Traumatology and  Anestisiology are also eligible to apply.
• Certified in ACLS, PALS and PHTLS or ATLS training is preferred, but not mandatory

Experience

•  Experience in Emergency Medicine within last 3 years

•  Recent clinical experience of at least six months within the last 24 months

•  Teaching experience is an asset

Knowledge

•  Be confident in speaking to groups of people and demonstrating practices in front of them, be able to speak simply and eloquently

•   Skills in various emergency procedures required (CPR, intubation, defibrillation, central lines, intraosseous access, chest tube placement, etc.)        

•   Essential computer literacy (word, excel, internet)

Languages

• English, Russian and Ukrainian are essential.

Monthly gross salary (before taxation): 32 962 UAH.

Type of contract: CLA for 4 months.
