Представництво Датської ради у справах біженців шукає Фахівця з соціально-правового захисту для виконання програми у м. Слов'янськ. Дедлайн - 24 жовтня 2018 р. (далі - англ.).

Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Protection Assistant is part of the DRC-DDG Protection Team in Slovyansk who will work under the management, guidance and supervision of DRC’s national Protection Team Leader and Protection Manager.

About the job

The Protection Assistant supports the Protection Team Leader and Protection Manager in timely and quality implementation of protection activities in southern Donetsk oblast. This position is based in Slovyansk with frequent travel to field locations and DRC-DDG office in Mariupol. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Implementation of protection activities

  • Implement of all protection activities, including but not limited to child mine victims case management, needs assessment, PSS for youth, children and adults, individual assistance to conflict-affected population.
  • Manage individual cases, provide advice and guidance as well as referrals to child mine victims including their families on issues related to accessing required services.
  • Provide a situation analysis in relation to child mine victims in order to be used by relevant stakeholders with a view to contributing to improved service provision.
  • Contribute to the design of clear weekly and monthly plans for the implementation of all protection activities.
  • Support the organization and delivery of trainings is psychosocial support for conflict affected population, and trainings on inclusion for children and adults.
  • Contribute to the process of developing tools, guidelines and SOPs relevant for protection work.
  • Under the guidance of Protection Team Leader and Protection Manager, provide capacity building and support to local partner organization in the implementation of psychosocial and life-skills activities for youth.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of DRC-DDG local partner and closely follow-up with the partners on the program implementation and program quality.

Training and capacity building

  • Support Protection Team Leader and Protection Manager in activities related to the implementation of training activities with a focus on psychosocial support and inclusion, including documentation, procurement and logistical arrangements.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and tools.
  • Assist in training for government and NGO stakeholders, social workers, psychologists in psychosocial support methodology, inclusion trainings for adults and children.
  • Design information leaflets, brochures for awareness raising activities.

Internal/External Coordination and Representation

  • Establish and maintain coordination with local authorities, local and international NGOs when/if required.
  • Represent projects in relevant coordination meetings when requested.

Reporting & Accountability

  • Collect and maintain project data ensuring the highest standards of data protection and confidentiality. Insert the collected information into the database when needed.
  • Contribute to drafting reports, analyses of statistical data and proposal writing.
  • Produce high quality and timely reports for DRC and donors within agreed deadlines.

Comply with all relevant DRC-DDG policies and procedures, particularly with respect to child protection, the code of conduct, and security.

 

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to strong facilitation skills and experience designing and delivering trainings to various audience, preferably with a focus on psychosocial support. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • Graduate degree in social work, law, psychology or equivalent;
  • At least 2 years of working experience in psychosocial support programmes or social work, supporting vulnerable groups of populationsas part of local or international organizations;
  • Fluency in Russian and good command of English – both oral and written.

Desirable

  • Good writing and analytical skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills;
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude and resilience;
  • Case management, data collection for families of child mine victims, and organisation an delivery of inclusiontrainings for teachers and schoolchildren
  • Capacity building and support to local partner organisation in the implementation of psychosocial and life-skills activities with the youth
  • Implementation of community-based initiatives (CBIs)
  • Regular contribution to planning and reporting on programme activities.
  • Establish and maintain coordination with local authorities, local and international NGOs when/if required;
  • Represent projects in relevant coordination meetings when requested.
