The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is an operational arm of the United Nations, supporting the successful implementation of its partners’ peacebuilding, humanitarian and development projects around the world.  Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations.  With over 8,000 personnel spread across 80 countries, UNOPS offers its partners the logistical, technical and management knowledge they need, where they need it.  By implementing around 1,000 projects for our partners at any given time, UNOPS makes significant contributions to results on the ground, often in the most challenging environments.

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Operations/Deputy Head of Office or delegated, he/she is responsible for management of the UNOPS Office in Ukraine administrative team and effective delivery of office management and administrative support services. He/she analyzes and interprets the administrative rules and regulations and provides solutions to complex issues related to office management and administration, promotes a collaborative, client-focused, quality and results-oriented approach.

He/she supervises and leads the administrative team of the UNOPS Office in Ukraine; she/he works in close collaboration with administrative/operations/finance staff, Project Managers and Project teams, as well as with staff of other UN agencies to exchange information and ensure consistent service delivery.

Summary of Key Functions

  • Management of UNOPS premises
  • Management of administrative services and supervision of the Office administrative team
  • Support to management on security-related issues
  • Support to supply and assets management
  • Facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing


  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business or Public Administration, or related fields.  
  • A first-level university degree in combination with 2 additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.


  • Minimum two years (with master’s degree) or four years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in office management or administrative support services. 
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Office). 
  • Experience in operating of web-based management systems required.


  • Fluency in written and oral English, Ukrainian and Russian is required.
