The Prague Civil Society Centre supports visionary, state of the art projects. We are always on the lookout for innovative, tech-based solutions and fresh approaches to the region’s social issues. The Centre has an exceptionally broad definition of civil society that includes activists, campaigners, journalists, bloggers and lawyers, as well as creative professionals such as filmmakers, artists, designers and IT experts. We also support social entrepreneurs and civic-minded businesses. Our aim is to create and nurture a fluid community of activists, professionals and academics that harnesses the diversity, skills and knowledge of those working on civic and social initiatives. Our flexible, inclusive and cross sector approach is aimed to help civil society become more innovative, creative and sustainable so it is better equipped to meet the challenges and opportunities it faces in this unpredictable region.
Fellowships are fully funded three-month research residencies in Prague for individuals from Eastern Europe and Central Asia. This includes activists, experts, researchers, and people working on civic-minded projects and social issues in their country or region.

In order to be considered eligible to apply, you must fulfill all of the following criteria:
Fellowship
The Prague Civil Society Centre will cover travel costs, modest living expenses, as well as visa assistance.* Fellows are provided with a shared office space with internet connection and meeting facilities.
*Please note we cannot provide visas for the first intake of the year (February-April 2019).
Application
Your Fellowship project proposal should aim to reflect and elaborate upon your current work or experience in your home country or region. You should demonstrate how participating in the fellowship programme will aid your work upon returning home, how you will share the knowledge and expertise gained during the fellowship, or how you plan to develop cross-country or regional collaborative projects and networks.
You are free to propose a Fellowship project on any topic, but we do have some topics, which will be given higher priority. More information on this can be found in the Fellowship information booklet below.
After the selection process, Fellows are asked to provide a specific project output to be agreed before the beginning of the Fellowship. The Prague Civil Society Centre also reserves the right to ask you to assist our projects or activities.
