Посольство США в Україні запрошує українські НУО подавати заявки на гранти, що мають на меті підтримку та розвиток прав людини. Подавати заявки можуть як новостворені, так і досвідчені організації, що займаються захистом прав та свободи. Дедлайн – 13 квітня 2018 року (далі - англ.).

The U.S. Embassy’s Democracy Commission strongly encourages proposals focused on the following themes related to vulnerable or marginalized individuals: women’s rights, the rights of victims of human trafficking and domestic violence, the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) people, the rights of individuals with mental or physical disabilities, veteran’s rights, the rights of the elderly, children’s rights and the rights of at-risk youth, the rights of ethnic and religious minorities, the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs), and the rights of HIV/AIDS affected individuals and households.

Proposals can address:

• Conducting education and public campaigns on the rights of vulnerable or marginalized groups
• Using new or existing technology to reduce stigma and to create a more tolerant society
• Organizing cultural or outreach events that focus on the rights of vulnerable or marginalized groups and promote their inclusion into society
• Encouraging vulnerable individuals to become active in society and be become engaged citizens
• Ensuring equal access to the justice system for vulnerable or marginalized groups, including projects supporting legal advocacy, client counseling and representation, primary and secondary legal aid, and litigation against discrimination and other issues to encourage appropriate legal practice in Ukraine
• Developing the institutional capacity of human rights organizations to respond to legal and social challenges when defending the rights of vulnerable or marginalized groups.
