Under the overall supervision of the Director of Ukraine NGO Forum, the Finance Manager is in charge of organization’s finance, reporting and overseeing accounting

•  Starting date: 26 June 2017
• Duration: 6 months with possible extension

GENERAL GUIDANCE   

Under the overall supervision of the Director of Ukraine NGO Forum, the Finance Manager is in charge of organization’s finance, reporting and overseeing accounting. 

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS

• Review and approve all the bank and cash transactions and supporting documents (Payment vouchers) according to organization’s policies and procedures
• Ensure all expenses are reasonable and appropriately authorized, in compliance with donors’ procedures and recorded on daily basis
• Ensure compliance with financial, accounting and procurement policies and internal procedures of the organization
• Prepare funds requests and submit it to donors to ensure sufficient funds are on hand to pay for planned operational activities
• Update and monitor project budgets and follow-up with Project managers
• Develop project budgets for new project proposals according to project needs
• Deal with annual and project audits
• Plan financial overview and strategic approach
• Prepare and submit financial reports on monthly and quarterly basis depending on donor’s requirements
• Make recommendations and update organization’s financial policies and procedures
• Present required financial overviews
• Conduct and moderate monthly Finance/HR/Admin working group meetings for member organizations
• Be able to do analytical analyses of the tax procedures or other finance questions for partner NGOs
• Ensure project donor audits are organised and conducted to ensure compliance.
• Work with potential donors and proposed implementing partners on the financial aspects of project proposals
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Language Skills: advanced level of English, Ukrainian and Russian
• Education Degree:  University degree in Accounting and Finance or other relevant subject

• Work experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Finance Manager in non-profit organizations

• Computer skills: Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software 1C.8.2 (for non-profit organizations)

• Other:

• Ability to manage priorities, daily difficulties, work under stress and pressure

• Reliable, rigorous and well organized
