Проект USAID «Підтримка аграрного і сільського розвитку» («Агросільрозвиток»), що здійснюється компанією «Кімонікс Інтернешнл Інк», шукає інтерна з комунікацій, моніторингу і оцінки. Дедлайн - 5 червня 2017 р. (далі - англ.).

Background

The Agriculture and Rural Development Support Project, hereafter ARDS project, is implemented through a four-year, cost-plus-fixed-fee completion type task order funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). ARDS builds on USAID’s previous projects in Ukraine and lessons learned by USAID/Ukraine, Ukrainian partners, and other donors. ARDS is implemented by Chemonics International, Inc. and began on September 7, 2016.

The project exists to help create a better governed agriculture sector that provides attractive livelihoods in rural areas of Ukraine. The two areas of focus for ARDS are the enabling environment and market development, with a focus on selected rural areas. The project works both at the national and oblast level, with a special focus on rural development in southern and eastern Ukraine. Across all tasks of the contract, ARDS works with government institutions, private sector entities, and other partners in planning, monitoring, and mapping outcomes, and thereafter scaling up what works and/or adapting by redesigning strategies and tactics employed to implement tasks.

Purpose of Assignment

The purpose of Communication, Monitoring and Evaluation Intern (CM&E Intern)  assignment is primarily focused on maintaining various databases through working with the task team leaders and provide a professional and efficient support in organizing events and reporting.  

At all times, the intern shall adhere to and act according to Chemonics’ Professional Code of Ethics Living Our Values as well as comply with USAID regulations and Chemonics’ policies.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the creation of an electronic/physical library and on gathering and maintaining databases
  • Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of activities implementation
  • Support in preparation of all level reports: work plans, quarterly and adhoc reports
  • Support in organizing events with key stakeholders participation
  • Support other team members of the office and participate as a member of technical task teams
  • Coordinate the creation performance monitoring platform including assessing the validity of the information and indicators that contribute to work plan.

Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Public Relations/ Social Science/ Marketing/ Economics
  • Course work in events planning, communications, graphic design, advertising, news writing is an advantage
  • Excellent proven copywriting skills in Ukrainian and English
  • Advanced PC user (standard Microsoft Office Package, Office 365, MS Access)
  • Basic skills in MS Project and SPSS is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in data analysis, monitoring and evaluation of activities.
  • Profound knowledge in research design and data analysis as well as research and data collection methodology skills
  • Ability to work independently to effectively meet the deadlines
  • English language at the advanced level

Reporting/Supervision

The Communication, Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will report to and be supervised by to Communications and Learning Director.

Term of Assignment

This is a short-term (two months) full time assignment. The term of assignment may be extended if required.
