Представництво ЄС в Україні оголошує конкурс на заміщення вакансії координатора проекту. Дедлайн - 25 квітня 2017 р. (далі - англ.).

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 28 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organisations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy.
The EU Delegation to Ukraine is one of those 140 delegations. Its mandate includes promoting the political and economic relations between Ukraine and the European Union, monitoring the implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine; informing the public of the development of the EU and explaining policies and participating in the implementation of the European Union's assistance programmes.

We offer

We offer a post of a Project Officer. Under this post, the recruited person will be attributed functions depending on the needs of the Delegation. Upon recruitment, the successful candidate will occupy a specific job function as a Project Officer in the Operations Section – this job function may be changed in accordance with the needs of the Delegation. Current job objective: to advise on policy issues and to manage international cooperation projects related to the field of economic and trade cooperation with a particular focus on competition, privatisation and technical barriers to trade. Under the supervision and responsibility of the relevant head of section, the successful candidate will serve as support staff to:

Project management:

  • To contribute to the programming, identification and appraisal of new cooperation projects
  • To assist in the launching, management and monitoring of call for proposals/ tenders
  • To ensure the follow up of project planning and implementation
  • To analyse project results and payment requests, including forecasting
  • To ensure coordination with other donors
  • To assist and contribute to evaluation and audit activities

Communication:

  • To contribute to the EU communication activities
  • To elaborate briefings and reports in the area of activity

Policy development:

  • To conduct conceptual reflection and contribute to the elaboration of work programmes and strategic documents
  • To support policy dialogue with all the relevant ministries, agencies, donors and other relevant stakeholders in the area of activity
  • To support the work of the sector in terms of general reporting or other horizontal tasks

The successful candidate will be based in Kyiv. Working time: 37.5 working hours/week. The contract ("local agent" type contract - Group I) will be concluded as unlimited term contract.

University degree in the field of Business Administration, Economics, or Law or similar qualification

 

 

Professional experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience with an international organisation would be an advantage

  • Very good command of written and spoken English
  • Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian

 

 

Knowledge of IT tools
